IP NGN Solutions
Overview
Network Insight is a pioneer in IP Next Generation Networks (NGN) for service providers. Our expertise dates back to building one of the earliest
nationwide, full-IP NGN cores. Migrate from legacy, or build new, your IP Next Generation Network to deliver the latest IP services while leveraging existing
infrastructure each step of the way.
NGN Solutions
Each NGN solution can be delivered stand-
alone or in sequence.
IP NGN Core Routing and Switching
The NGN core dictates how well your IP services are delivered. Our carrier-class designs
are proven to deliver IP services subscribers
are demanding such as VoIP and IPTV, with the
Quality of Service (QoS) they expect. Additionally upcoming services such as IMS are easily
facilitated.
VoIP Component with Voice Peering
VoIP is one of the fastest growing service
segments in telecom. Utilize Network Insight’s
years of experience on numerous service
provider networks, just like yours, to help roll
out your own VoIP offering. Also deploy voice
peering to minimize PSTN traffic and expensive toll charges.
Optimized Service Delivery with Service
Control
Next Generation Networks carry more traffic
than ever before as a result of combining
traffic from what used to be separate voice,
data and video networks. Additionally, the next generation applications such as P2P, gaming; and streaming or live video put an ever-increasing strain
on bandwidth and security. Control network traffic, optimize service delivery and guarantee QoS without the need to increase bandwidth with Network
Insight’s leading solutions.
IP NGN Security
Although the NGN affords unprecedented advantages in efficiency and cost reductions, the uniform protocol introduces vulnerabilities to more than just
data. Protect core infrastructure and all IP traffic that traverses the network with Network Insight’s NGN Security Solutions.
Business Case
Keep a Competitive Advantage
Be one of the first service providers in your area to deliver any service to any device anywhere your subscribers desire. Enable users to check voicemail from their inbox, watch live
HDTV over the Internet or chat from their television.
Reduce CapEx and OpEx
Maintain a single converged packet-based network with optimized service delivery. Cut
internal IT expenses in half. Lower national backhaul network toll costs by more than 45%,
even as usage explodes. Additionally, free-up bandwidth on a previously maximized network
by up to 28% without adding on to your network.
Future-ready
A long-term solution, Network Insight networks are built to standards that allow easy addition of new services such as VoIP, IPTV, IMS and service control.
Revenue Generation
New revenue-generating services are added quickly. Services can also be offered in tiered bundles increasing ARPU.
Reduced Churn
Speedy time-to-market and guaranteed QoS maintains customer base. Becoming the single provider for voice, video and data services also increases
“stickiness” and reduces churn.
Improved Management
Fewer devices and uniform IP-based services enable more detailed reporting in real time and simplified troubleshooting which minimize network
downtime.
Network Insight
Differentiators
- IP NGN expertise
- Pioneered one of the earliest, nationwide IP NGN
- Numerous extremely successful service provider clients running on Network Insight NGNs.
- Best practices based on ITIL.
- Customer service and satisfaction ratings at 97%.
- Preferred partner for largest NGN hardware vendors
Network Insight’s Delivery Methodology
All professional services are developed through a combination of best practices, such as ITIL, and years of real-world experience on service provider net-
works just like yours. The Network Insight methodology includes:
- Business and Network Requirements
A clear understanding of your goals as a business such as future service offerings, number of subscribers, bandwidth needs, target ARPU, regulatory
considerations such as CALEA and financial considerations. Network Insight leads the industry in understanding business needs and translating that
into network requirements.
- Network Readiness Assessment
Evaluate your current infrastructure to identify what portions are NGN-compatible and what must be replaced. When this phase is complete you will
have a plan of what network changes need to take place in order to reap the benefits of a Next Generation Network.
- Network Design
Develop most appropriate design for each NGN solution based on business and network requirements from step I. When this phase concludes you
will have a blue print of your path to IP NGN.
- Proof of Concept/ Testing
An Alpha network segment is built from the design and tested in a lab environment.
-
Network Migration/ Deployment
Phased build out of, or transition to, your new NGN. Savings from each phase can be reinvested in subsequent phases to offset costs.
- Pilot Phase I - This trial phase is an actual deployment of the newly designed and tested solution to a subset of the entire network. In transition
situations, Pilot Phase I is compatible with the remaining legacy portions of the network. This step helps identify potential issues that can
occur in the live deployment making your launch time shorter and smoother.
- Pilot Phase II - This is a deployment to a larger subset of a service provider’s network.
- Full Deployment - After the pilot phases, the full Next Generation Network solution is deployed. Network Insight has completed full migration
(all pilot and full deployment phases) in as little as 30 days.
